Taiwan intelligence unit confirms Hong Kong visit

A top Taiwanese intelligence official has visited Hong Kong in a landmark trip seen as the latest sign of fast-warming ties between Taiwan and former rival China, officials and local media said Tuesday. The Bureau of Investigation told AFP that Wu Li-chen, a deputy chief of the bureau, visited Hong Kong last month. It declined to give details.
