China has pressed North Korea to speed up economic reforms in a summit encounter that underscored Beijing's concerns about its impoverished and wayward ally, experts said Tuesday. AgBank temporarily halts property market loans

Agricultural Bank of China said Monday that it has temporarily suspended property market loans to counter a surge in real-estate lending, but insisted the country's property sector was "healthy." AgBank stopped giving mortgages between August 24 and August 31 "to ensure an even distribution of loans and to avoid a surge at the end of the month," said Zhang Yun, Agbank's vice-chairman.
