PetroChina first-half profit surges 29.4 percentBeijing (AFP) Aug 26, 2010 Chinese oil giant PetroChina said Thursday its first-half net profit had risen 29.4 percent from a year earlier due to a sharp rise in oil prices helped by signs of global economic recovery.
