Vehicle sales in the first quarter rose 71.8 percent from the same period last year to 4.61 million, Dow Jones Newswires reported, citing the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. ![]() Beijing (AFP) April 6, 2010 China executed a convicted Japanese drug smuggler on Tuesday, making him the first Japanese citizen to be put to death in the country since diplomatic ties were re-established in 1972.
