![]() Beijing (UPI) Mar 5, 2009 China is scaling back defense budget growth to 7.5 percent and telling its neighbors not to worry about its military buildup. The Chinese defense budget for 2010 is to be around $78 billion, said Li Zhaoxing, spokesman for the National People's Congress, an annual two-week congregation of its 3,000 members.
