China's consumer inflation picks up in October

China's consumer price index (CPI) rose 1.2 percent in October compared with the same period last year and after a gain of 0.9 percent in September, official data showed Friday.

China's CPI was up 1.9 percent year-on-year in the 10 months to October, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said in a statement.
